Thurs, 11th Sept, 2014 Camden

10 degrees start to a clear morning in Camden. Getting some washing done in Marion’s big front loader then off to meet Uncle Wal. Steve nearly stepped on a blue tongue lizard that was sunning itself on our mat.

Rang my second cousin Judy (mum’s cousin’s daughter) and had a great catch up. I didn’t look at the addresses till we had left Forrester’s Beach and were on the highway, then realised Judy had moved to Forrester’s Beach and she was a couple streets away from where we were. I am so disappointed not to have seen her but will definitely do so next time we are here. Rang her mum and dad in Port Macquarie too and had a great chat. Will catch up with the other second cousin’s over the weekend too.

Wal got a great surprise as I walked up and gave him a hug. Enjoyed a lovely morning tea in Camden enjoying the sunshine though after a while I was starting to get hot in my jeans and long sleeves.

We left Wal and Marion to go to doctors etc so we went off exploring. Camden is a historical town so we will do the walk around the town to see all the old buildings tomorrow. Oran Park Motor Raceway was being knocked down when we were here the last time when Jon was racing BMX. It is now a subdivision with the streets named after some of the drivers – Brock, Johnson etc.

Went home to change into shorts and singlet and enjoy the sun and warmth. Another lovely afternoon chatting with Wal, Marion and Tim when he got home from work. Back into the warm clothes as the sun set. Peter rang from New York and we will see him on Monday.
