Nice
morning, 17 degrees but the sun is out though there are still a lot of clouds
around. Enjoyed breakfast outside in the sunshine. Went for a walk to see if
Nash was going fishing but he wasn’t up yet.
I
read my book while Steve rigged up the fishing lines like Nash showed him.
After lunch drove past Nash’s van but he was gone so we headed back into
Binalong Bay to have a look around and do the walks to the points.
Found
a cute chick for Steve to hang out with. He said ‘we’ve been long way to get to
Binalong Bay’!! He’s been reading too many bush poetry books!!
Drove
down to the boat ramp – tranquil little area for the boats.
Further
along was the lookout – as we walked up there was a great view over the rock
pool and orange and yellow rocks.
Great
aerial shot on the info board. The wind is freezing so glad we brought our big
coats.
Onto
the lookout – shame the clouds have moved back in. Looking over Binalong Bay
and the Bay of Fires to the north.
Zoomed
across to our van (the one on the left).
Drove
around to do the walks. Looking back on Skeleton Bay from Skeleton Point.
Further
on around the track to Grants Point – Steve trying to push the rock over the
cliff.
I’m
putting it into position.
Elephant
Rock out the front of the point.
Looking
over the orange rocks to St Helens Point.
Looking
back over the bay to Mt Pearson.
Certainly
some big boulders around here.
Heading
back along the track – was a nice walk.
Drove
further around to Dora Point. Walked down to the beach and looking towards Dora
Point. Lots of seaweed dying on the beach.
Across
the mouth of Georges Bay to St Helens Point.
Back
to Binalong Bay. Parked at the beach area. View over the beach and the entrance
to Grants Lagoon.
The
sand is very squeaky. Would look a lot nicer if the sun was out.
Back
to the van for a cuppa. The wind is picking up and it is freezing. At 4pm it
was 14 degrees outside. Steve got the fire going to cook tea. The moon tried to
peek out. Temperature is dropping so into the van to eat tea and watch the
Anzac centenary celebrations in Gallipoli.
