Much
warmer 12.5 degrees at 8.30am. Last day of daylight saving. Overcast. We had
rain during the night but it is misty so we didn’t hear it. Quiet morning doing
my blog. Rang Rebecca and Clive back after I missed their call. Great hearing
all their news.
Heated
up some leftovers to warm us up as the day has been getting colder – or is it
that it didn’t warm up. We drove up the hill to get good internet connection so
I could do some uploads. Just got them finished as the rain came down. I was
standing outside under the side door with the laptop on the lunch bench. I was
getting pretty cold too.
We
were supposed to be having a camp oven tea with Mick & Anne’s friends at
Policeman’s Point but weren’t sure due to the weather. Packed up everything
anycase and headed over to at least have happy hour with them. When we got
there they had the fire going well and the roasts cooking. Ron & Jenny are
their travelling partners and Ron built himself a great small poptop caravan.
The
Cairns couple we met at Lilydale, Anita and Noel, were parked beside them.
Remembered who he looks like – Donald Sutherland. Had a great time chatting
with everyone darting in and out of the awning as the rain came over in misty
scuds.
They
are camped beside the entrance to the bay behind some bushes for protection so
we will pinch their spot on Monday when they leave. Had a great dinner by the
fire before the rain came down again. Jenny had the fire stoked though so it
kept going well. About 9.30 the clouds parted and the full moon shone – was
lovely and I didn’t have my camera!!!
It
is a Blood Moon lunar eclipse tonight so the clouds played the game and let us
watch the shadow come across the moon. Anita said it was a special religious
moon as it is the first time the sun, earth and moon have aligned on Easter
Saturday and some believe it means the return of Jesus. Headed back to the van
at 10pm and I got a couple of photos between the clouds crossing over. About 11
the clouds moved in so I gave up. It was 18 degrees in the van so will be a
lovely night.
Wound
the clocks back an hour so we will be back to normal tomorrow.
