Thurs, 23rd Apr, 2015 Swimcart Beach Campground, Bay of Fires Conservation Area

Bleak morning again – 17 degrees in the van. Some quiet heavy showers come through then the sun tries to shine.

Texted Susan for her birthday.

Rang the heater man to get a quote - $3830 for hotwater and air heater so will have to think about that one. $1900 for just the heater. There are cheaper chinese versions, but will have to check them out first. Maybe just as easy to run the genie and the elect heaters we have!!

Got onto another company here in Hobart so will call in and check out the heater when we head down there ($1100 for the whole kit).

Quiet day with the genie going to watch TV. Nice and relaxing watching the big waves roll in and change the lay of the sand.

Uncle John rang to find out when we will be back in Melbourne as they are planning to go to Cairns to see Mum and Dad again. We will have a few days with them after we get there. Will get online and book our tickets to Rocky Horror Picture Show too.

Rain stopped so we went for a walk and got chatting with Nash, an ex Vic now living in Tassie. He offered to take us fishing to his ‘special’ spot when the weather improves, which would be great.

Ken rang from Pacific Radiators in Cairns that we purchased the PWR radiator from, to say that PWR in Yatala will be sending us a new radiator. What a relief and we are glad we found the leak before the warranty ran out. Thanks to Ken for sorting it out for us.

Sat outside for a while having a drink as it isn’t windy, just overcast with showers.

Quiet night watching TV – not too cold, 20 degrees, though about 9pm the chill comes up through the floor.
