Very
windy night. Overcast cool morning. Woke by a text from the boys at 5.20am –
they forgot the time change – or did they. Lovely photo of them and Bandit
under Jess’ Christmas Tree.
At
7am rang home as everyone was opening their presents – Mum & Dad, Dan, Jon
& Jess, Brian, Jodie, Steph and Sam and Greg, Tracy, Matt, Tim and Katie.
Sounds like they are all having a lot of fun.
Rang
Erica and Terry at Woodgate who had David, Amanda, Bradley, Ben and Ella with
them.
Breakfast
in the van then up into the house to get the roast going.
Lots
of phone calls and texts which was wonderful.
Got
Bob to take our Christmas photo – I found my Christmas brooch and earrings and
a red t-shirt.
Stuffed
pork roast and vegies all done – time to tuck in.
After
a while we were ready for dessert – sticky date, fruit mince pie & ice
cream – yum.
Bob’s
grandmother, Fay, grew up with her father, the lighthouse keeper, on Breaksea
Island, out from Albany. A lady wrote a book, fact and fictitious about her
life during the first World War. Very interesting and well written. The
lighthouse was originally built by convicts in 1858.
Coffee
time and some fruit cake – one piece for a month of good luck, or so we are
told.
Lovely
day chatting and eating too much of course.
Quiet
evening.
