Overcast
and windy, 20 degrees at 7.30am. Should only get to 27 degrees today. First
cyclone, Yvette, for WA is building up near Broome. They are predicting a few
this year as the sea temp up there is hotter than normal.
Packed
up. Rang Rebecca and Clive – heading to Sydney for Christmas with Megan and
Andre which will be lovely. By 9.30 the sky was clear and warming up.
Farewelled Tino & Petra as they headed into Perth for a look around. Had a
cuppa with Lance and Janet – they are heading near Mandurah to housesit
tomorrow.
Rang
Bob to let him know we were heading his way. Down the highway and across to
Mandurah then over The Cut to Dawesville and to Bob & Margaret’s. She is
still up at Port Hedland minding her daughter’s place till 27th.
Backed into one of the driveways and set ourselves up.
Chatted
the afternoon away then went for a walk to the beach to watch the sun set. Put
our jumpers on as the wind is cold. Just like Woodgate there are kangaroos
everywhere. This one looks like he should move out of home – getting too big.
Steps
down to the beach.
Quite
windy so the sand was getting blown along. Looking north then south.
Only
cuttlefish and a few broken shells on the beach.
Lovely
sunset though the sea was whipped up. I was busy taking photos but Steve kept
his eye on the sun as it disappeared and saw a green flash. Will have to watch
carefully next time.
Back
to our home for Christmas, thanks so much Bob & Margaret.
