Thurs, 28th June, 2018 Graves Hill Fossicking Area, near Sapphire, Qld

7am 15 degrees. 8am 15.6 degrees – still overcast and some misty rain. Feels like Millaa Millaa.

Quiet morning chatting with Erica and Terry. Feeding the lorikeets. They like posing for photographs.

Our route from our last camp site to here.

The full camp photo.

Went looking for sapphires after lunch. Erica was using her wires and Steve was on the pick. Terry and I carried the buckets and sieves.

We need to find one like these.

The lorikeets were back for afternoon tea. One was very comfortable on Terry’s knee. I got out some crackers and honey and they quickly landed on me.

Clouds clearing away so by evening the stars are shining and the full moon has risen.

Rang Mum and Dad for a chat – all good. Tom and Sandy rang for a chat.

The possum came back after dinner for his snack – he was a very friendly chap wandering around our feet.

The potoroo arrived too late so we had to find something else for him to eat.
