Mon, 29th Sept, 2014 Sofala

Steve all keen to work the area the instructor told him about so I did some 4WD training – up and down hills and through a creek – and dropped Steve off near Ration Point. I went back onto the main road and up the hill to the cemetery, dump & showground. Fantastic internet reception here – Steve thought about it after we got such good reception at Bald Hill. I spent the morning uploading all the Katoomba photos and stories. Back to camp for lunch and a despondent husband – no gold again!!! There were heaps of mines – dug by the chinese (they made theirs round) that followed a vein up the mountainside. Left Steve to find the firewood for tonight and just hang out at camp while I did the toilet dump and then went up to the cemetery again to upload the rest. Wonderful news – Kayleigh and Mark had a baby girl, Isabelle Elise, yesterday. Suzanne had put up a couple of photos. We are so happy for them both. Glad to have that all done. Saw some little rabbits scurry back into the prickly bush on the way home – they look so cute but they do so much damage. Back to camp again and we enjoyed a port while enjoying the fire. Another lovely tea cooked in Steve’s bush cooker. Rang Louis to make sure he has put the flannelette sheets etc in the motorhome for me and have a chat.

No photos today.
