Mon, 7th Aug, 2017 Bush camp, near Meekatharra, WA

7am 11.7 degrees, clear sky. Much nicer morning. Top of 26 predicted today.

Sandy and Annette were leaving this morning but they were still digging out some targets. We headed over to another area as we have finished all ours.

Back for lunch. Said farewell to Sandy and Annette.

Finished off the scrapes and back to camp for a late cuppa. 29 degrees in the van.

David had rung to see if I could get Jon to bring down the wedding cake decoration that was Erica and Terry’s to put on the cake for their 60th wedding anniversary in September. Unfortunately it is boxed up but will see if Jon can find the right box otherwise they can put a photo of it on the cake or I suggested they cut out a photo of Erica and Terry and put it on a stick to stand on the cake. Shame we can’t make it but it is a bit hard at the moment. We will celebrate next year when we are all together in September.

Steve and Tom helped Ross erected some roofing beams so Ross can finish off the rest of the roof over the camp.

Late drinks as the sun set.
