Sun, 23rd Oct, 2022 Bush camp at The Granites, north of Mt Magnet to Peter Denny Lookout Rest Area, east of Sandstone, WA

Min of 17 degrees, 7.30 up to 20 degrees, cool gusty wind, clear sky but there is a low cloud band in the south and east.

Continued on to Mt Magnet then further down the road and turned left to Sandstone - right goes to Geraldton.

Heading towards the clouds that are white and fluffy. Not much traffic on this road which is good.

Into Sandstone for a quick drive around. The bougainvillea still looks lovely. They have finished off the heritage park they were building near the fuel pump when we were last here. Saw the new owners of Outback Accommodation pottering around the garden. We had fun helping Mickey and Chris out there.

Continued on to the rest area and pulled up near the edge so we have a nice view out our window of the breakaways.

Made lunch - stayed inside as the flies are very bad! What do they do when we aren’t here!

Played games for the afternoon and read. A couple of other travellers pulled in for a bit then kept going.

Clouded over and a few drops of rain at dinner time - we were going to sit outside to enjoy the stars once the sun set but it all cloudy now so we didn’t bother. The wind has stopped.
