Sun, 16th Feb, 2025 Blythwood Rest Area, south of Pinjarra to Bob & Margaret’s place, Dawesville, WA

Warmer night - min of 21 degrees. Clear sky and light breeze.

Packed up and returned to Pinjarra to then head across to Mandurah. We have our eye appointments at the big shopping centre this morning.

Got that sorted and picked up a couple of things and had lunch in a cafe for a treat. Cost $52 hence we don’t do that very often!

Across the Estuary Bridge - the extra bridge is progressing. Nice on the water today.

Across The Cut - very nice here too.

We backed into Bob & Margaret’s place at an angle this time as we will be leaving the camper on the truck and Steve needed to jack it up a bit so he can get the automatic out. Also we don’t like blocking Bob’s access to his shed as we will be away for over a month.

Had a quick chat then we gave the truck & camper a wash. I did the windows around the top from the inside too as they were quite dusty. Steve put the campers legs down to give extra support and take the weight off the truck then got to work. He chocked the wheels too as there won’t be any handbrake etc to stop it moving.

3pm the sea breeze arrived which was nice and then we get the shade from the house too so that made it better for Steve to work under the truck.

Joined Bob & Margaret for drinks and catch up on where we have been etc.

The baby galahs are still screeching and the kangaroos still nibbling the grass. All quiet after sunset though and no wind so we can hear the waves rolling onto the beach.
