Tues, 3rd Feb, 2015 Dunalley Pub to Sorell RV Stop

Woke to a lovely sunny morning but still windy. 17 degrees in the van. Watching Sunrise and they are in Tassie doing the weather. They will be at Gordon Dam on Friday where we are heading so look out we might be on TV.

Packed up and headed down to cross the Denison Canal again. The bridge was closed so a couple of boats could cut through the canal so great timing to see road turn sideways and the boats pass by us.

The road turned around again so off we go across the bridge.

Off they go on a much shorter trip to Hobart than around Tasman Peninsula.

You can notice all the fire damage on the trees from the 2013 fire.

Nearly back to Sorell, overlooking the protected area of Frederick Henry Bay.

Parked in beside Leanne & Rick. They were at Bellerive doing the tour of the Blundstone Arena. As I went to get out Mr Spider was back and wandered across the windscreen. Don’t know how he got out of the snorkel!!! Well he isn’t going to wander around anymore!!

Did some more washing while the sun is out. Pete and Penny came back after stocking up on food. They are off in the other direction to Triabunna up the east coast.

Used Leanne’s clothes line and the wire fence to hang the washing as the wind is so strong everything is nearly horizontal on the line!! Noel & Glenda pulled up beside us in their motorhome. Great to see them again. Alan’s bus blew up so they are waiting up north to go back to Melbourne and get a new engine.

Washing all dry so headed into town for fuel, gas and groceries. After putting everything away met up with the others for drinks beside our van. Parked the car sideways to try and block the wind. Asked the couple, Robyn & Dennis, in the van next door to join us, Leanne & Rick and Glenda & Noel for happy hour. Great afternoon chatting and laughing, especially about MONA, Museum of Old & New Art. It is a very unusual place with some very graphic art/sculptures!!

The sun has come out and wind has died down for a bit which is nice, needed to take off the coat and boots for a while. Then the big black clouds started to move in so back on with the coat and boots again!!

Made some pizzas for dinner then rang Mum and Dad to see how they are faring. Dad getting better but Mum still chesty but improving.

The wind has come up again in gusts.
