Sat, 16th May, 2015 Sorell RV Stop

7.30 am 8.4 degrees with beautiful clear sky but the wind is cold. 9 months since we left home – seems only like yesterday but then it seems forever since we were there.

Poked my head out of the van for a photo of Mt Wellington – only a little bit of snow left on the top.

Steve got started on installing the heater while I went and bought some groceries. I used to have a slide out pantry thing in this cupboard which was a bit useless so Steve will put in shelves instead.

After lunch I put a stew on for tea in the Ecopot and then cooked a cake from the Coles magazine we picked up – Gingerbread Spice Pumpkin Cake – very yummy.

Nev rang for a chat then he put Carol on. Great to hear from them both.

Lovely sunset colours in the sky about 5pm.

Put our new heater on and it works well. At 5.30 pm it was 12 degrees outside but a nice 23 degrees inside so we are very happy with our purchase.

Lovely dinner and even lovelier to be able to sit in the van without 3 layers on!! Watched the rerun of the V8s in Winton on One. So missing Channel 7 and free coverage and the old commentary team.
