Another
sunny day in paradise 20 degrees overnight with a top of 29. We are so enjoying
the lovely weather, though Steve said it was very hot and dry up the Palmer but
he would rather be hot than cold.
Mum
and I drove out to have morning tea with Kaylene and her mother, Dawn. Lovely
morning chatting on the deck looking across to the mountains and out to sea.
After
lunch I went down to ‘our house’ to tidy up ‘our room’ – one bedroom that we
have all our stuff stored in but ‘someone’ has been dumping his bits and pieces
in there too!! I rang a security screen company for a quote on a sliding door
out the back as Jon would like to get more air into the lounge room as the
house is a little hot box unfortunately. Jon came home so we discussed finances
etc. He has a couple who are going to move in so we will need to get a fan in
the front room. Got a new lock for the door for him to install. Saw Dan when I
dropped the lock back.
Rang
Erica for a chat – she had another win on her favourite pokie machine and got
another $60, so her luck has run out yet.
Dinner
at Brothers Leagues Club with Mum, Dad and Val – buffet style, very nice. Saw
two girls, Esther and Jeanne, who frequented Tuckshop a lot, working there so
had a chat with them. They are both studying to be nurses. Had a play on the
pokies with only a couple of little wins.
