Woke
up early with the birds again.
Steve
took Dan’s truck down to the car wash for a clean.
Dropped
into the Miner’s Den to pick up some detecting bits Steve ordered. The NQ
Detecting Group were having their coffee morning so we joined them for a chat
as we knew a few. Met a couple for WA so exchanged emails.
After
that we headed over to the boys to unload the truck. Dan and Jon were home so
chatted about things as we unloaded. Jon was laying some turf where he had
removed the lawn locker in the back yard and was using the shop ute that Dan
had while Steve had his, so we will swap cars later.
Dropped
in on Greg Nolan for a chat. Kristine came home and invited us for lunch which
we did. Great time chatting and catching up.
Headed
out to Pinks for a visit. So glad to see Grant improving and looking forward to
seeing them both on the road one day.
Back
through Cairns to Kathy’s for Johno’s 70th and her son, Rhys’ 16th
birthday BBQ. Unfortunately Rhys badly damaged his knee at school playing
basketball so Kathy called off the birthday gathering but still wanted us to
come over for BBQ. Steve and Johno had a great chat and Judy will be in town
Tuesday so will try and see her then. Nice night chatting and then watching the
Broncos verse the Cowboys – more football!!
