15.3 degree min, a few clouds on the blue sky and windy. Wendy and David’s wedding anniversary today so sent them a message. We used to have a joint dinner for our anniversaries when we were home.
Packed up and drove back into town. Roald rang to wish Steve a belated birthday and catch up on what we have been up to. Picked up a few groceries but the weekly load hadn’t been unpacked yet so will get some more after lunch.
As we walked out we ran into Tom & Sandy and Ross had just come around the corner too. Haven’t seen him since 2018. He and Lara are having lunch at the pub too so we all sat together. Pete was there again too. We had a lovely time catching up over a yummy lunch. As we left Ross said to call into the lease and stay for a BBQ if we are coming past on Sat night. Sounds like a nice idea.
Got the rest of our groceries from the IGA then headed off down the gravel road towards Sandstone. We only went about 20km then turned off into the pending lease near Tried Again Mine that we visited before. Steve had left a smiley face where he got a nugget so we parked near that on the ground he had gridded. There is another car over by the mine area.
The wind has picked up so we had a late cuppa inside then played cards till drinks time.
The wind dropped off when the sun set. Another vehicle drove in to where the other one was and they have set up tents. There is rain forecast for tomorrow so hope they know about that.
Dinner and movie to finish off the day.
