Fri, 11th September, 2015 Mum & Dad’s, Cairns (Steve's gold)

Overcast morning with a shower of rain and strong wind and quite cool.

Took Dad into MacDonnell Solicitors to pick up the original Probate papers of his mother’s – just for family history purposes. Also trying to locate his father’s will too but will have to try the Lands Dept as there was land that had to have the names changed on it.

Dropped Dad home then went back into Central to meet Sandra, Wendy and Kaylene for coffee. Had a wander looking for a necklace for Wendy for Amateurs tomorrow. Shame the wind is up and they will probably get a shower too – doesn’t do much for the hairdos and fancy dresses!!

Wendy and Kaylene left so Sandra and I had lunch and chatted. I then headed over to Suzanne’s to drop off a present for Libby’s 21st on the 7th October. Just caughter her before she headed off to work the late shift at Rydges. Tenille was home so chatted with her and Suzanne.

Steve rang to say he was at Mareeba having a cuppa with Ron then heading down the range.

Paul rang as he finished work so said I would meet him at Mum & Dad’s shortly. Chatted about how we manage finances etc for our travels as he and Denise will be hopefully doing the same in a few years.

Steve home, safe and sound, with 12 grams of gold. He put it into the box that Erica gave him for his birthday so it all looks pretty. He got a few chinese coins off Wonga Mick and Charles polished up a couple for him.

This one is a keeper - looks like a seahorse (2.4g)

He stopped on the way out and found another 5 pieces so will have to put them in too.

Mum and Dad went to Brothers so we stayed home to chat and I cooked tea – haven’t done much of that lately which has been nice.

Quiet night chatting and watching TV with Mum and Dad when they returned.
