Sun, 13th September, 2015 Mum & Dad’s, Cairns

More overcast day with strong cool breeze.

Steve coloured my hair as we sat outside enjoying the lovely temperature.

Drove out to Greg’s to drop off his birthday present – he will be 50 on 6th October. Tracy has the flu and is not feeling too happy about it.

Into town for Kaylene’s birthday (which is tomorrow) lunch on the water front with her and Rick, Alan and Andrea and Wendy and Dave. Lovely lunch and chatting.

Up to Pete and Marree’s for a drink – he has been very busy working on his renovations. Their neighbours came over too – Brewer also detects so had a great time chatting and watching the rain squalls come over the inlet. About 6pm the rain started to come down.

Back towards town for dinner at Westcourt Tavern with Valerie & Russell, Susan & Ross and Christine & Richard (used to be the Bungalow Hotel in our younger days). Two for one meals and they are huge. It was very busy so lucky I booked a table. Mum and Dad decided to come down too and they had to wait a bit for a table. Another great night chatting – so glad we had time to catch up with everyone again.

The rain is getting heavier as we drive home but has eased off as I write up my blog. Mum, Dad and Steve are watching a very very old James Bond – they don’t even know who the main actor is.
