Thurs, 17th September, 2015 Janet & Geoff’s, Smiths Gully

Good night sleep. 13 degrees in the van when I got up and put on the heater.

Waved bye to Janet & Geoff as they headed off to work.

Leanne rang to talk about where to camp before Bathurst since we can’t get into the campground till the Monday now.

Erica rang to get car advice off Steve about a friend’s car. Was great to see them again in Cairns – they are both doing so well.

The little bit of sunshine has gone and the clouds are looking heavier as we head into Diamond Creek to doing the shopping.

Kaylene texted so I rang her back as she had some more bad news from the doctor and has to have surgery on Tuesday. Will be thinking of her and hope all goes well.

Afternoon spent packing all the food away and bagging up the meat etc.

Went for a walk again up and over the dirt roads to wear in our new walking boots.

Janet and Geoff were home when we got back then we headed off for dinner at Yarra Glen Hotel. A lovely old building with lots of rooms filled with tables and chairs for cosy dining. Thursday night special was steak so we all enjoyed a great dinner.

Glad Geoff knows where he is going as all the little narrow roads winding around this area can be very confusing.
