Rain
during the night. I woke at 5.45am to a man yelling help and something else. I
stuck my head out of the van and it sound like it was coming from the beach
area towards the jetty. I could see some torches so figured someone was
helping.
When
I got up I asked the neighbours if they heard and they say he was yelling
‘Help, Knife, call the police’ – glad I didn’t go over to help!
Did
a nice and quiet hook up and drove out of our camp site easily. Rick had to
back out and all was good since we had moved he had plenty of room, since their
neighbour had put their tent right beside them. Around to the entrance to say
goodbye. It has been a great time and we have had plenty of laughter. Hopefully
we will meet them somewhere again one day. Leanne took a few photos so grabbed
them off Facebook.
They
are heading to Port Augusta then on to Cooper Pedy. Back on the road and
heading north back to Adelaide. Still lots to explore in the Fleurieu Peninsula
when we eventually get back to South Australia.
Erica
rang returning my call from last night. They are at Woodgate with Dave, Amanda
and the kids.
Got
to Margaret’s and backed the van into their driveway.
Margaret
said the Easter Bunny had come – lovely South Australian Haig Chocolate.
Chatted
for a bit then we drove them to the footy in their BMW. It was like driving a
plane so many gadgets. Steve wants to pinch the seats as they are so
comfortable!! We made it back home ok.
I
got Margaret’s washing machine humming which was wonderful.
Rick
had sent a photo of his nuggets he found recently so we rang for a chat.
Rang
Diane and Chris to pop in on them. Headed around for a cuppa.
Jon
rang as he was heading home from Cardwell – he had a wonderful time and is
going to put up a heap of photos on Facebook. Bandit looks so cute in his
lifejacket.
Fabulous
panorama photos.
Liam
was home when we got back so he and Steve went and picked up Margaret &
Gary. They are taking their catamaran out tomorrow and asked us to join them - sounds fun. Had a lovely dinner then played a few games of Sequence. We had played at
Marion Bay so they bought it for Gary for his birthday. I partnered Gary and we
won all the games – poor Margaret & Stephen!!
