Sat, 10th Aug, 2019 Bush camp, 50km south of Marble Bar, WA

7.30am 15 degrees, clear sky and the strong wind is still blowing.

Tried detecting but the wind was too strong and quite cold so we had a drive around checking out some old shafts etc and then collected some firewood.

Home for a cuppa. Wound in the awning as the strong SE wind is giving it a bashing.

Passed the morning looking at brochures and maps for the next part of our touring when we head up the WA coast after I return from Cairns in November.

At lunch the wind is still howling so only have the windows open a little. Getting quite warm though as the sun is shining well and heating up the lounge side of the van to 31 degrees.

Watched Crocodile Dundee – I have a file of old favourites. It is still a good movie.

Played cards till drinks then started a new TV series till dinner which I cooked inside again.

The wind is still blowing hard though it could be worst – it could be raining too.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
