Tues, 30th July, 2019 Bush camp near Mosquito Creek, east of Nullagine, WA

8am 19.2 degrees, clear sky and the strong wind is still buffeting the van.

We drove out to Dave’s lease to join them for a cuppa. They were detecting a recently burnt area so the wind was whipping up the ash so it wasn’t very pleasant. So hard to hear my detector too with this wind as I don’t use the headphones like they do.

We went further around to some scrapes and tried there but got nothing. Continued along the track to get across to where the big burn was. Tried a couple of spots but the wind wasn’t nice and the gold didn’t call out to us so we headed back.

Home for a cuppa at 3pm with the cold wind still blowing hard so it wasn’t a hot day.

Started packing up as we will head off tomorrow.

The wind settled a bit and was quite cool. Closed up the van.

Last drinks with Dave, Max and Pauline. Said farewell to Dave and Max as they will head out detecting before we get up!!

Dinner and movies as usual.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
