1-2 May, 2024 Geck Beach House, Woodgate, Qld

Wed, 1st

Sunny morning for our walk along the beach - great when it is low tide.

Into Bundy again for an eye appointment for Terry. Slow drive in as the road was getting a new surface. Luckily we left early.

Steve cleared some more things out of the shed and I rounded up the Desert Roses to plant at Woodgate.

Back through the roadworks again to Woodgate. I planted some desert roses under the stairs and between the ‘money’ trees at the side of the house. The rest will go down the back near the retaining wall.

Steve filled in the trenches and started racking it flat.

Will give it a water and then fill in the low bits.

Drinks down at the beach chatting with a couple from Childers who are renting the house across from us.

Thurs, 2nd

Gave Steve a sleep-in this morning after all his hard work digging. I was enjoying staying in bed and reading my book too as it was quite chilly this morning. The wind has picked up.

Steve continued with installing the electrical cable up the wall and around the edge in conduit ready for when Bryan visits to connect it all up.

I started on the First Christmas stocking cross-stitches for my grand-babies.

After lunch Steve connected up the water to the shed tap.

Phillip and Brenda called in. We chatted till 5 and just when they got up to walk back to their house the rain started so they had a quick run home as the rain came down hard.

Rain continued into the night. Jon rang from his work for a chat. Cold down there in SA. Will be a lot colder by the time we get down there!
