Thurs, 27th June, 2024 Bush camp at Mud Tank Zircon Field, off Plenty Highway near Gemtree, NT

4.8 degrees, each morning is getting warmer, haha. Blue sky and no wind.

Back to our spot and kept sieving and washing. The jar is slowly filling up. I put the bigger bombs in a plastic bag. A nice breeze has come up so doesn’t feel as hot today.

After lunch I continued with my blog and Steve kept digging. I think his mother would be proud of the stones we found. Can’t wait to show his dad.

Steve brought back our things and managed to get the mud out of the black box so we can pack it all back into the truck.

3pm the nice wind stopped. Got to 27 degrees in the camper with just the door and two windows open.

Packed everything away and spread out our haul. Not bad. We filled the jar and there are plenty of bombs so hopefully there will be something worth cutting in all of that.

Finished off a great time with drinks by the fire.
