8 degrees, overcast and the pitter patter on the roof continues. Forecast to only get to 14 degrees today. Glad I am staying in the camper!
It is Territory Day and everyone can buy fireworks today. Going to be a noisy night with fireworks going off.
We got the bushes from the Post Office. It is bitterly cold outside.
Jon said goodbye as he was ready to head to Darwin.
Poor Steve got to work in the cold shed. I put the heater back on and worked on my blog. Got everything uploaded for June, yeah. I also did our ‘financial’ update for the year though we don’t put in a tax return any more it is a good way to see how we are travelling financially.
Chatted via text with Annalise and she sent some more photos and a video of Beau blowing bubbles.
Got a message for Lynne. They are now on Elsey Station out of Mataranka so hopefully we can catch up somewhere when we are up that way at the end of the month.
Heard a few early fireworks going off. Rang Terry to update him on our travels. He had a great time at the last rally though it was very cold in Theodore. His air con heater didn’t work that well.
Rang Wendy to see how the renovations were going. Getting there slowly. Sarah’s wedding in 11 days so will look forward to seeing a few photos.
Jon got to Daly Waters. Hope he gets a good night sleep.
As the light disappeared more and more fireworks went off around us. Even the guys here had some. The sounds rebounded off the shed and hills so we felt like we were in a war zone as there were a heap across the road too. It is so cold outside I don’t know how they are enjoying setting them off! We aren’t going out to watch them but can see a few colours as they explode across the road. Hopefully no one gets hurt.
