Fri, 16th Dec, 2016 Ross & Lara’s, Wattle Grove, WA (28 months on the road)

Lovely morning – just perfect temperature at the moment 23 degrees. 28 months on the road now.

Ross rang to say hi and see how his sheep are doing. We are so grateful to him for letting us stay here. They are doing well at Quinns. We will call in next year on our way back up into the Goldfields.

Chased up the part Steve is waiting on for the steering – hoping it will stop the wobbly steering at certain speeds.

Wendy rang for a chat – looking forward to Sarah coming home soon.

Polished the truck – shinier, though we have put a few good scratches on it with all the bush bashing we have done.

Got an email from Kevin and Linda who are in Bunbury. He returned our call and they will be there for a while so we will catch up with them in early January. Looking forward to seeing them and maybe doing a bit of fishing too.

Got the steering damper and it has made a difference which is good.

Phil and Sue, friends of Ross’ called in to check on the sheep and say hello.

The wind has come up from the east and is gusting quite strongly – hope the branches on the trees stay attached to the tree we are under!!
