11 degree min - sun getting up earlier now, 5am - clear sky. Steve was right to leave the flannelette sheets on the beds and the blankets!
Drove around to the shops and did our groceries then back to our spot again for the night. I forgot to take a photo last night of our campsite.
After lunch I did more cross-stitching on Cooper’s 1st Xmas tree hanger.
Only got to 24 degrees today with a cold wind outside.
Rang Terry while we had our afternoon cuppa. Doing well - passed his medical so he can drive for another year. He will be 92 on the 6th so we wished him a happy birthday early in case we don’t have reception as we cross the Nullarbor.
Rang Uncle John then for a catch up. He is doing very well - might make 100. He will be 98 in March.
A lady with a little ‘Gecko’ van pulled in beside us. We went out to chat with her and the other Qld couple on the other side. Julie is from near Tin Can Bay and Leo and Jenny are from Yeppoon. Got out our chairs and settled in for a chat. Leo is starting to learn to detect so Steve gave him some pointers. They are heading south first and working their way around the coast as he loves fishing and surfing then will try detecting in the middle of the year. Julie is on her way back east across the Nullarbor too.
The sun set and the coolness set in till we gave up and headed inside for dinner.
