Only got down to 16 but it feels colder with the dark sky outside so no sun to warm us up. We had some rain in the early hours again and a few more drops at breakfast.
We were going to drive to Esperance to fill in the day while we wait for Tom & Sandy but it is going to be wet down there too so will just hang out here.
Half the travellers have moved on this morning. Read, worked on my cross-stitch and played cards for the morning.
Blue sky appeared for a bit in the west but then we heard thunder. By lunch we saw flashes of lightning and the thunder increased then the rain started but the storm moved across quickly.
More travellers have pulled in as the wind picked up again and a bit more blue sky is appearing. We decided to have a walk as I missed a mural (off Wikicamps) at the end of the main street. Steve thought the tree looked nice so I took a photo.
Found the murals and cute ‘house’.
On the way back we went through the park with the old machinery that I photographed in 2016. Across the road is an accommodation place with lots of photos on the fence.
Caught Steve dreaming of finding one of these.
Sandy rang to say they have had a terrible day. The stabiliser on the van isn’t working and they have issues with the fridge so Tom has been hard at work all day trying to sort it all. Got it fixed so will head off tomorrow morning so hopefully they will be here in the later afternoon.
Dinner time and we hear thunder again. I thought it was the sliding doors of the ‘whiz-bangs’ but then I looked outside and saw lightning flashing behind the clouds in the north-west.
7.30 and down came the rain. All good in our home and we watched a movie as the storm passed over. All the camper is closed up again and we are in long pjs - who would have thought!
