Sun, 21st August, 2016 Bush camp, 15km S of Marble Bar, WA

8.30am 21.3 degrees, clear sky, light cool breeze.

Steve drove off to explore some gullies etc. I worked on my blog for a bit then wandered around camp detecting – only got rubbish. Washed my hair and then rang Kaylene for a nice chat.

Steve came back with one nuglet, 0.83grams.

Had lunch then checked online to see how Malcolm’s racing at Phillip Island went. He did very well, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 1st for the final. Will try and ring him later.

Drove back down the road heading south and turned off where the Shire Council were digging up road base. Found a track heading through the valley to some scrapes. I worked the scrapes while Steve wandered off checking other areas.

Got 11 bits for 2.56 grams – yeah.

I also found a Devil’s Dice. Amazingly, a perfect cube.

Back to van for drinks and then we rang Tracy and Grant to catch up.

Nice evening though getting a bit cooler.
