Thurs, 12th Sept, 2019 Housesit for Mickey & Chris, Sandstone, WA

7am 18 degrees, overcast and no breeze. We had spits of rain in the early morning – just enough for me to have to close the top hatch on the van.

Ipec arrived early and Steve helped him load the fridge for its trip to Perth.

I cleaned the room etc once our guests departed. Steve put in the new brake master cylinder then fixed the sticking door lock on his driver’s door.

Had a cuppa then rang Mum and Dad. All ok at home.

The sky is getting darker as the wind picked up. I had put the sheets on the line. They dried quickly and I was just going to put the towels on the line when a windy shower of misty rain came over. It didn’t last for long though.

The new TV antenna and hot water system anodes arrived at the Shire Office too so Steve picked them up to give the truck a run and check the brakes – all good. He then changed the antenna but still couldn’t get reception.

Mickey and Chris arrived back. Chris said you need satellite for TV here so we won’t be able to check the aerial yet. The anode in the hot water system was nearly worn through so we timed it well.

Chatted the afternoon away. The sky cleared and it cooled off as evening arrived.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
