4th & 5th Nov, 2024 Tom & Sandy’s place, Thornlie, WA

Mon, 4th

Bit chilly, 11.4 degrees min but it was up to 20 degrees by 8am and the sun is shining brightly. Sunrise is getting earlier so by the time we get up it is warming up at least.

Sent of birthday wishes to Paul and my cousin Pete.

Joined Tom and Sandy for morning tea and cards and lots of chatting. That continued into the afternoon then we had BBQ dinner and more games. Great fun.

Tues, 5th

Only 15 degrees min with showers of rain and overcast so it will be a cold day.

I went with Sandy to do line dancing while Steve helped Tom with some gardening as the roots were pushing out the brick garden bed.

I had a great time and managed to keep up with some of the dances. Will have to come on a Thursday as that instructor walks through the dances before they start. This chap just goes straight into it. Glad all the ladies and one gent have good memories!!

It is Melbourne Cup Day so after we finished dancing we joined them at the local Tavern for a drink.

The boys did a great job on the garden beds and replanted some of the smaller golden canes back in.

Rang Terry to wish him a happy 91st birthday for tomorrow as he will be driving to Mt Perry for the caravan rally in the morning.

More games in the afternoon and after dinner. Even spread of winners so everyone is happy!!

The sky cleared and was quite windy in the evening when we got back into the camper.
