Tues, 19th Nov, 2024 Cosy Corner East Campground, west of Albany, WA

Min of 18 in our closed up camper. Pitter patter of rain and grey sky to greet the morning with.

After breakfast the rain stopped and a Magpie sang us a beautiful song.

More rain at morning tea. Lucky we can join Bob & Margaret in their van to have cuppas etc.

Checked the rain radar and it is all the way up to Geraldton so it wouldn’t matter where we went. Good day to read, do my baking etc and then play some games.

We all went for a wander to the beach - still wild and windy. All the bottom tent sites are empty now. I took Bob & Margaret along the track to show them the big stem on the grass tree. She pulled out some of the reeds and said as a kid they would chew on the soft ends - no flavour. I said sugar cane was better.

More rain after lunch so I did my baking etc. Heard some thunder too but we didn’t get any heavy rain.

Drinks and chatting to pass the afternoon then back to the camper for dinner.
