Min of 13 this morning but it’s warming up quickly under the clear sky. Forecast for a max of 32 today.
I bought our tickets for the International Sprintcar Event at end of December that Malcolm’s coming over for. Sent a message to Gavin too as he mentioned going. We will meet him there.
Lovely morning chatting with the others.
Clouds coming over and it is certainly warming up - lovely. No wind. 35 degrees in the camper at lunch time.
Kathleen headed off to play her competition bowls here at Newdegate today. Warren took us for a drive east to Lake King - long straight road through more grain fields. We had stopped there before and took photos of the lake which is huge and the old tractor museum.
He then took us around to his parent’s farm for a cuppa. Great entrance bike.
They had been sorting their sheep in the pens. Still working hard at nearly 90! The other son has a property nearby and they grown wheat and barley but Dad still likes his sheep. Warren got out of the family farm and bought a shop with his first wife but that didn’t work out - either way. We had a lovely time chatting with them and eating her homemade scones.
Continued on through the brother’s property and headed towards Varley (we had visited before). Turned off then headed west. Kathleen has the postal run for all around this area - big drive. Passed another big salt lake - Lake Stubbs. A farmer collects the salt for licks and also collects gypsum.
Around to the bowls and golf club area. Kathleen still there. Back home for drinks on the verandah - no ‘Albany Doctor’ breeze today.
Kathleen arrived home - her team won so she was very happy. We all had dinner together outside. A light breeze has come up cooling things off.
We said thanks and goodbye as they both head off early for work tomorrow. Back to our camper for a cuppa and bed.
