Only got down to 17 this morning but it is overcast so probably won’t get much warmer!!
Had a lovely morning chatting etc. The sun is starting to peek through the clouds as we pack up. Will be back to see Kev & Linda again.
After lunch we headed onto the South Western Highway for a bit then turned off into the Ferguson Valley area to check on ‘Noel Jnr the 2nd’, our garden gnome we left at Gnomesville last year. Noel Jnr had disappeared, unfortunately tree branches falling, creek flooding etc culls out the ‘neighbourhood’.
It’s a nice drive through rolling hills, just like the Tablelands.
Stopped at a new lookout.
Around to Gnomesville - so many different gnomes etc. Someone has been busy keeping the area tidy and paths swept.
Unfortunately Noel Jnr has moved on - he was beside a well-endowed lady gnome and she is gone too!! This where he was but we couldn’t find him. Oh well, that’s it, only two gnome sons for us.
Big Noel’s relatives are still around - our Noel lives in Jon’s yard.
We drove down the road a bit to Wellington Mills to have a cuppa. We had checked out the big log on our first visit but hadn’t done the walk.
Followed the trail down to the Ferguson River and back around checking out the info boards.
Headed back via the loop road then back to the highway again and headed north to Pinjarra. Through a short shower of rain. Across the Murray River and around to the rest area by the railway line.
There are lots of travellers already parked up but we found a spot and set up for the night. Didn’t open anything up as it is quite chilly.
Played cards while we had our drinks then dinner and a movie. All quiet except for a couple of trains rumbling through.
