Wed, 6th Nov, 2024 Tom & Sandy’s place, Thornlie to Bob & Margaret’s place, Dawesville, WA (Terry’s 91st birthday)

Overcast again, 16 degree min. After breakfast we packed up the camper.

Morning tea with Tom and Sandy then we headed south to Mandurah. Over the Estuary Bridge where they are building a second bridge beside it as the area has grown so much. Stopped at Miami Beach for lunch at the Miami Bakehouse (won heaps of awards). Ok but we were that impressed. Nice mural nearby.

Got some groceries from Woolies at Falcon then headed across the Cut then turned off into Florida Beach.

The subdivision opposite the school was just started when we were here last year, now it is full of houses.

Around to Bob & Margaret’s place. The kangaroos are still in the park and on people’s lawns (just like Woodgate).

Chatted for a bit and dropped the camper off beside their van.

We had some parts posted here so Steve can then work on the truck without the camper and he has Bob’s shed full of things to use! Wonderful friends.

Cuppa up on the verandah enjoying the view though the trees have grown so they have lost the sea view again. Got a bit chilly so we headed inside for drinks and to catch up on the news on TV - The American election!!

Margaret had cooked Fish Pie and chips for dinner - delicious. We have to catch some more fish.
