Misty shower of rain in the night. Min 20 degrees, cloudy and windy.
Quiet morning reading.
The wind picked up and blown the clouds away. A few people out on the water as we walked south along the beach. The higher tide (full moon tonight) has taken all the sea grass back into the water so we can walk along the edge of the water. Lucky we have chin straps on our hats as the wind would have just ripped them off our heads. I notice everyone has chin straps.
After lunch we went up to the lookout to watch the action on the water. No wing foils today as the sea grass in the water makes it too hard for the foils so a lot have gotten out their kites and are having fun with those as the wind is stronger today. A lot of windsurfers too enjoying jumping over the waves. So of the kite surfers can jump and fly for quite a distance before landing nicely back on the water and zooming off again.
Walked back down the beach to the beach shelter shed and chatted with some of the wing foil people.
Back to the camper for a cuppa out of the wind. Had to close up the windows that side and the wind is giving the camper a good rock.
Sent a text to Mel and Sandra who we met in Marble in Aug 2016 in Marble Bar. They live in Geraldton so we arranged to meet them at the Dome Cafe tomorrow morning.
Had our drinks then went for another wander to watch the action on the water. Very very windy now but they all love it and there are plenty of windsurfers and kites whizzing about.
Clear sky for sunset so it just disappeared quickly - no pretty colours. The moon rose over the hill and shone down on us too.
The wind still rocking the camper when we went to bed and the roar of the waves is still loud.
