17 degree min with the windows closed. Clear sky and windy. The corellas are up early flying above us but not landing in our trees.
There were a few plaques we missed so we put on our boots and went for a walk. The corellas are having a lovely time on the grass.
Someone bent this sign. The kids were certainly enjoying the big pool yesterday.
Followed the plaques then walked across the railway line and down Slaughter St. No plaques along here. Out to the main road and back to the other end of the buildings and back to the camper. Need to keep our exercise regime going.
Going to be another 37 degree day so decided to stay put in the shade so I could catch on my blog - so many photos etc. A ‘bird scattering gas gun’ is going off every half hour - sometimes I forget and jump! Don’t think it is worrying the corellas too much.
Jeff and Lyn rang for a chat. Jeff is hoping to get over to WA later in the year so will keep in contact so we can hopefully meet up somewhere.
The wind stopped at 1.30pm so the temp climbed to 36. Lucky our fans work well. Read our books and played cards while the lap top was recharging.
The wind picked up in the afternoon. We packed up after smoko and headed up to the Talc Mine Lookout so we can watch the sun set and enjoy the clear starry night. Parked away from the edge so we don’t get blown off the top!
The sun set at 7.20pm and there is an over-half moon (full moon on the 14th). Nice colours in the east.
Twilight lasts forever in summer but eventually it got dark enough and a few stars appeared. We saw big headlights in the distance and figured a farmer is still working one of his fields. Interesting watching the lights move about. Didn’t see any satellites and the wind is quite cool so we headed back inside.
Watched the last part of the Captain Cook series where he was killed in Hawaii whilst trying to find the north-west passage between Alaska and Russia. It was very interesting and we learnt a lot.
