Wed, 4th Oct, 2017 Webb’s Patch Mine, 30km east of Cue, WA

7am 18.3 degrees, wind from the east bringing clouds.

I was woken at 5am to the sound of rain on the roof and very strong wind.

Rang the Tuckshop girls for a chat as they are back to work after the holidays.

Sandy rang for a chat as she thought she had better signal today but after a while she disappeared.

Steve went detecting one last time. I read, baked my date slice, made impossible pie – had a lot of eggs to use up and made dinner in the Ecopot as it is too windy to cook outside.

No luck for Steve though Claude is still finding a few which is great. Steve packed up all the gear ready to leave tomorrow.

Joined Trish and Claude for a drink beside their van - trying to keep out of the wind. Back into long pants and jumpers.

Back to the van early as the wind was bitingly cold so put on the gas hot water for a shower and enjoyed our dinner inside.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
