a text off to wish Steve Allard a happy birthday.
Steve
off with Kev again. Margaret and I picked up her cousin, also Margaret, and
went into Perth to the Crown Casino for a look and play the pokies. Very nice
place – should have taken my camera so we will come back later with the boys
and I can take some photos then.
Pokies
are similar to home though they don’t roll as such but plop the pictures into
each square in random order. Also they have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10c
machines whereas we only have 1, 2, 5 and 10 and of course the dearer ones
which we don’t use. I only stick with the 1 and 2s but you have to watch how
many lines you have to play as a minimum as most are 10 which means on a 2cent
machine you are betting 20cents a hit. Doesn’t take long for my $5 to disappear
if you don’t have a win. After the first $5 went I went back to doing one line
as you still get the free games etc and I played on my next $4 for quite a
while – have to stretch it out on our budget!!

home on the train – scored a lady who was hanging out for a chat!!
On
the weather it said we only got to a top of 23 today.
