Tues, 16th Jan, 2018 Bob & Margaret’s, near Mandurah, WA (41 months on road)

Drizzly rain and windy. Perth had 96.2mls yesterday when they usually only have 9mls.

Rain stopped by morning tea – a bit of blue sky appearing to the north.

I remembered I had kept the flannelette top sheet so took it up to Margaret’s sewing room and turned it into 4 pillow cases for our boomerang pillows. Proud of myself!!

Steve helped Bob sort out an air conditioner for his grand daughter’s house.

I went online and got our permits to traverse the Canning Stock Route. $50 to one group and $110 to the other lot and had to print out the permits myself.

Rang Heidi to chat about Laverton for detecting then we went onto Tengraph and looked at places to detect around Lenoran, Halls Creek etc. Rang Ray about Halls Creek area too.

Very still afternoon making it quite humid and muggy. Played a few games of Skipbo – practice for when we catch up with Tom and Sandy soon.

Had drinks with Bob & Margaret then went for our walk. The ocean was calm with just the big swells dumping onto the beach. A big dark band of cloud out to the west.

Still night.
