Wed, 30th May, 2018 Bush camp, Mt Dockrell goldfields, south-west of Halls Creek, WA

7am 23 degrees, clear sky. Gusty strong ESE wind started about 4am.

A kangaroo jumped by, stopped and looked at us then carried on. Crows start very early with their mournful cry.

Wind got worse. Put the shade awning across to block out the sun and the wind so I could do some blogging. Steve went off detecting.

Unfortunately no joy for Steve. The strong wind persisted all day but the shade awning worked well so I got a far bit of typing completed.

Steve found a couple of other detectors over the ridge who have found a couple of small bits. He also saw a little kitten – poor thing – would now be classed as a feral cat.

Full moon tonight. The wind settled a bit after sunset. Managed to spot a couple of satellites before the moon shone too brightly.

Clouds started coming over and the wind was back by 9pm. Closed the bed door to keep out the wind.

NO PHOTOS TODAY – haven’t said that in a long while!!
