Mon, 25th July, 2022 Bush camp by Telegraph Pool, Fitzroy River, WA

17 degrees this morning. Much nicer but the wind is now blowing hard across the river which makes it feel cooler.

I worked on my blog and Steve read as it is too hard to cast the line against the wind.

Leanne rang for a chat which was lovely. They are going back to Tassie in September which is where we met them in 2015.

The big croc is back up on the bank again. Haven’t seen any other crocs.

Two sea-eagles have settled on top of the telegraph pool. I now know what their calls is like - sounds about like geese - three different calls. We heard them call out and looked up as one decided to ‘flap about’ the other one!! Doesn’t look like they are enjoying it. Then they sat beside each other for another hour or so.

I sent a text to Gary and Cheryl as they had posted they were at Quondong Point so we might be able to catch up with them. Then a text came in from Rod & Christine, the other couple we met in the Hidden Valley Van Park. How’s that for ESP. They are working their way down through SA and the Flinders Ranges and freezing to death!

The wind settled with the sunset but we didn’t bother with a fire tonight.
