19 degrees at 7am which was the minimum. Cloudy again.
Headed into Katherine to get our parcels from the post office, gas refill, food and grog supplies. The sky has cleared and there is a lovely breeze blowing.
Steve had an appointment with a physio about his neck pinch. He said he should have a course of anti-inflamatories but you need a doctor for that. He suggested a doctor but the free appointments were gone by the time I rang up. The lady suggested we ring our doctor in Cairns and have a tele-health conference so we did and arranged that for tomorrow afternoon.
We were parked in the RV area near the Information Centre for most of the day and we had a few people take photos and ask about our set up. One young couple were looking for ideas as they are over their roof-top tent.
We drove around to the Big 4 van park where the others are staying - nice and shady and they are enjoying the pool. Anne & Mike have a water leak so the inside of the van has been ‘washed’. Got parts to fix that which is good. We chatted for a while telling them about the whip cracking show and waterfalls that they missed.
I had seen a gravel pit only 16km north on the Stuart Highway so we decided to head up there for the night as King River rest area is 56km south of Katherine. We will go back there tomorrow as the Central Arnhem Road heads off from just south of there.
A few other travellers were already here so we chose a spot and set up.
Time for a drink and relax with a nice breeze blowing.
