Mon, 30th Sept, 2024 Bush camps off Nambi Road, Leonora, WA

10 degrees min but we didn’t get up till it was 18 degrees so didn’t bother with the heater. The sun is getting up earlier now too, 5.30am. Clear sky and cool breeze.

Gary and Cheryl packed up and headed off towards Kalgoorlie - doing the Super Pit mine tour tomorrow morning. It has been wonderful to spend some time with them and hopefully we will meet up again somewhere. So glad Cheryl got to find a bit of gold to show her grandkids etc.

We decided to try the pending area on the other side of Nambi Road so packed up and headed over there. There are heaps of open shafts here too but on the flat. Found a spot and set up. Warmer day, 28 degrees.

Plenty of firewood so we got a nice fire going to cook steak and vegies in alfoil on the coals.

Tom & Sandy rang. Looking forward to catching up with us and might come exploring with us in the new year now they have a new van and car.
