The wind blew all night and is still blowing hard but it is colder now. Min of 16 degrees. There is thunder rumbling in the distance and it is overcast.
After breakfast the pitter patter of rain drops started.
Ian sent a photo looking up Mountain Straight at Bathurst. He is there with a mate and they are waiting for Brian to join them. He was in Orange visiting Jodie and Bryon and meeting his grandson Arthur for the first time.
Wendy sent photos from Lake Wellington on the east coast where they camped the other day. She said Steve would have loved the fishing here. I rang her for a chat - they are now at Lakes Entrance. We had a lovely chat with her and David. They saw his mum’s sister who turned 100 today, unfortunately she had had a fall so was in hospital but is all good and as sharp as a tack. They picked up the Mustang David is going to use for his F150 truck creation - it is parked at his brother’s place in Shepparton so will pick it up after they do some sightseeing then head back to Cairns.
We didn’t get much rain so we packed up and went back to the road and then across into the rest of the pending area. Passed the other chap’s camp and continued on till we found a spot to park up.
Small ironstone but there was a bit of quartz about too. Still overcast and another little shower came across. We read till lunchtime then played cards. No more rain but it is cold and grey outside.
Lou rang to say that Ken Knight had had a stroke and it isn’t looking like he will recover from this one. So sad for him and all the family.
The pitter patter rain and wind is back. The camper is closed up and the heater is on as it is quite chilly. Got the winter pjs out again and put the blanket back on the bed!!
