13.6 degrees min but it warmed up quickly this morning. Clear sky and light breeze.
We packed up and tried another area which has had a lot of dozer work but no joy, just rubbish.
Back to the fenceline track and up to the rail access road which is wide and smooth. Headed back towards Kalgoorlie. Lots of white wildflowers.
Back on the Mount Monger Road. Found a track to cross the railway line - no trains. Onto a smaller track that ran alongside the line for a while then found a track into another pending area.
Thin cloud covering the sky now and it has warmed up a lot. Found a spot to park up for the night but didn’t realise we were very close to an Inch Ant nest which Steve disturbed so they came out fighting. Luckily we saw them before they bit as they bite hurts. We went into the camper for lunch and they settled down.
1pm 34 degrees and the wind comes and goes but my trusty fan does the job. Steve went wandering while I worked on my cross stitching. Nearly finished.
No joy for Steve other than exercise. We played some games over drinks then read for a while before dinner.
6pm still 30 degrees so no winter pjs tonight!
