15 degrees min, overcast and cool breeze.
Packed up and headed to the Super Pit area and found the Mount Monger Road which has been moved over a bit due to the Super Pit operations - nice new bitumen.
The road then ran parallel with the Trans Australian Railway line for a while - we can see it through the bush. We then turned south-east and onto a smooth wide dirt road.
We found a track into a pending lease and parked up on fine ironstone pebbles. Went for a wander but no joy. Had lunch then continued on to the bigger pending leases further north of where we are.
Drove through an area of yellow wildflowers.
There is a storm brewing so we chose a spot at the top of a rise and set up near some scrapes.
A few drops of rain fell so we settled inside for the storm. Just enough phone reception here without the aerial. Got some lovely photos and videos through of our grandchildren. Lots of thunder rumbling around us then a short burst of rain on one side of the camper and the sun shining on the other!
Only got to 28 degrees in the camper today. Rick sent a text saying gold has reached $4001 per ounce. Amazing.
Another shower of rain as another storm cell came through then the sky cleared.
Some stars are out when we went to bed.
