Tues, 5th Apr, 2016 Perlubie Beach, Eyre Peninsula, SA

7am 16.7 degrees clear sky.

Did some more blogging then headed along the beach for a walk to the point. A lady was digging for pipis so we picked up a few then ended up with so many Steve had to take his cap off so we could put them in that. Hopefully we will convert them to KG Whiting tomorrow at Haslam.

Out to the point which is called Eba Anchorage with a few beach homes across from Eba Island.

Now for the walk back. The sun is warming us up. Started the day with a jumper, now I want to change into a singlet!!

Lots of campers and vans leaving and arriving. Another guy got bogged so Steve helped out again with his shovel.

Mike rang from Tassie as they are planning to head to north Queensland in July. He gave us lots of advice about detecting in WA and will email some details and maps which will be a great help. Steve drew some mud maps of the Palmer for me to email to them.

Dark clouds are coming over as they have predicted rain this afternoon. The wind is also picking up.

There are some weird black beetles here too – most are dead on the beach but a few are still wandering around.

Kylie and I were chilling out as the sky got darker – should have taken a photo of the dark funny looking clouds overhead. Then a few drops of rain fell but we could still sit there at it was just drops.

They went for a drive then the rain started coming down a bit more. We pulled out the awning and had drinks under it when they returned. The wind has dropped now that the pitter patter rain has continued.

Rang Greg to wish him and Tracy a great holiday on their cruise next week to Noumea.

Up to date with my blog at last!! Quiet night watching DVDs as there is nothing on ABC.

The wind came up!! Should take the awning down.
