Thurs, 30th June, 2016 Bush camp, Yandal Station, NE of Leinster, WA

7.40am 16.5 degrees inside and 12.4 degrees outside. A bit cloudy in the west.

Tried ringing Rebecca for her birthday today.

The others left at 9am so the boys headed over to their ‘patch’ to see if they left any gold behind.

I went onto Facebook to let everyone know my article is out in Caravan & Motorhome On Tour today.

Walked over for coffee with the boys, Jeff had 2 bits and Steve had one. Pretty flowers are starting to pop up everywhere – wildflower season is starting.

Back to the van to ring Erica about the magazine and have a chat. Rebecca texted that she was out and would ring later today.

Boys back for lunch – no more gold. Rang Rebecca and Clive and had a lovely long chat about their trip etc. Boys headed out for a drive to find a new patch. I rang Mum and Dad about the magazine so she can buy a copy in case the company forgets to post me one. I texted Jon to look out for it.

Dark clouds started coming over from the west and looked storm like. Checked on BOM and it showed nothing. Maybe some rain tomorrow!! A big jumble of thunder then it moved on.

Boys back empty-handed. Steve went for a wander around the camp and found a little bit near the tree holes I had said to check!! Total of 0.68 grams today. Bit hard after hearing how much the others had pulled off their patch with their SD2300 detectors.

Leftovers for dinner tonight. Nice by the fire but the breeze had a bite to it. Warm in the van though 20.7 degrees so no need for the heater tonight.
