Fri, 30th Nov, 2018 Outback Accommodation, Sandstone, WA

7am 24.5 degrees, thin cloud cover and gusty SE wind making it cool. The wind blew up at 2am and was quite strong so I had to close the roof hatches that were making a racket.

Weather forecast for summer is going to be a lot hotter which is fun to think about!!

Let out the chooks and put on the sprinklers on the garden bed but we left the grass so Steve can mow this afternoon. Steve went off detecting on some pending ground nearby that we found on Tengraph.

I had some black bananas so I baked a banana cake and anzac cookies while watching the Lion King then Princess Diaries 2 on Foxtel. Cool enough this morning so no need for the air conditioner so far.

Met one of the neighbours who called in to see if a parcel had arrived here for her.

The wind settled to a nice breeze. No gold for Steve when he returned for lunch.

Rang Kaylene for a chat – nearly the end of school year for her. With the heat she is definitely looking forward to it.

Steve mowed the lawns while I wheelbarrowed the grass clippings to the yard beside the house. Looks nice and neat again. Got the sprinklers going on the lawns to keep them green as the wind is so dry here.

3pm only 35 degrees in the van today.

Pottered about then watched TV while we had our drinks.

Cooked a roast dinner as Mickey had left us some lovely chicken kievs to have.

Cooler evening when we headed back to the van.
